While prior government meeting experience is highly valued, it is not required. We welcome experienced professionals whose backgrounds and skills are transferable from other professional broadcast and audiovisual environments, including corporate television and video production, local television broadcasting, broadcast television, live news or publicaffairs production, professional audiovisual services, live-event production, streaming and webcast production, higher education or institutional media, public-access television, municipal or legislative broadcasting, and other related professional production environments. Depending upon experience, technical proficiency, directing capability, client-facing experience, leadership skills, and professional judgment, qualified candidates may be considered for either an AV Technician position or the more advanced Production Coordinator position. INTEGRITY FIRST Above all, NTT is looking for professionals with integrity. Our employees work directly with government agency clients and support live public meetings where accuracy, reliability, professionalism, discretion, accountability, and sound judgment are essential. Technical knowledge is important, but technical knowledge alone is not sufficient. We are looking for professionals who combine strong technical capabilities with the maturity, interpersonal skills, personal responsibility, and professional judgment necessary to work successfully as part of an experienced team in an operationally demanding, customer-facing government environment. YOUR EXPERIENCE DOES NOT HAVE TO COME FROM GOVERNMENT BROADCASTING NTT recognizes that many of the skills required to successfully support government meetings are developed in corporate television, local television broadcasting, professional AV, live-event production, streaming, webcasting, and other demanding production environments. We are interested in experienced professionals who can bring those skills, judgment, professionalism, and client-service capabilities to our government broadcast operation. POSITION 1: PRODUCTION COORDINATOR Position Overview The Production Coordinator is a seasoned professional with hands-on broadcast production experience who is capable of directing live government meeting broadcasts while working closely and successfully with government agency clients and other experienced production and technical professionals. The Production Coordinator participates throughout the complete production lifecycle, including pre-production, live production, and post-production, and assumes substantial responsibility for the successful execution and overall quality of assigned productions. This position requires considerably more than technical proficiency. The successful candidate must demonstrate mature professional judgment, excellent communication skills, leadership capability, composure during live productions, and the ability to successfully manage professional relationships with government agency clients. Primary Responsibilities Directing high-level live government meeting broadcasts and webcasts. Coordinating pre-production, live production, and post-production activities. Working directly and professionally with government agency representatives, meeting clerks, staff members, presenters, and other authorized client personnel. Directing and/or operating professional multi-camera broadcast systems. Coordinating cameras, video switching, graphics, microphones, audio, presentations, remote participants, streaming, recording, and other production elements. Supporting Zoom and other remote meeting participation technologies. Monitoring productions from beginning to end and identifying potential problems before they affect the meeting or public broadcast. Troubleshooting and coordinating appropriate responses to technical or operational issues during live events. Supporting live streaming, recording, and archiving of government meetings. Supporting workflows involving live spoken-language interpretation and translation. Supporting live multilingual captioning. Supporting the production and delivery of verbatim meeting transcripts in English, Spanish, Chinese, and other languages as required. Participating in production quality assurance and post-production review. Following established production procedures, checklists, documentation standards, and quality-assurance requirements. Participating in incident identification, documentation, escalation, follow-up, and resolution. Communicating effectively with Production Coordinators, Broadcast Engineers, AV Technicians, management, and government agency clients. Training, mentoring, and coaching other production personnel when appropriate. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in production quality, operating procedures, technology, and client service. Preferred Qualifications A college degree in television broadcasting, television production, communications, media production, audiovisual technology, or a related discipline is preferred. Five or more years of relevant, progressively responsible professional experience is highly desirable, including extensive live-directing experience and senior-level client-facing responsibilities. Significant hands-on experience directing live multi-camera television, webcast, streaming, or comparable productions. Experience working in a professional broadcast control-room environment. Experience with professional video switching, cameras, audio systems, graphics, presentation systems, streaming platforms, recording systems, videoconferencing platforms, and related technologies. Relevant experience may have been gained in government broadcasting, corporate television, local or broadcast television, public-affairs programming, live multi-camera production, professional audiovisual services, webcast and streaming production, liveevent production, institutional media, or another comparable professional production environment. Prior government, municipal, legislative, public-access, or public-affairs broadcasting experience is highly desirable but is not required. Demonstrated experience successfully directing complex live productions and working directly with professional clients, stakeholders, or senior organizational representatives. Experience with incident management and operational problem resolution. Experience training, mentoring, or coaching other professionals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain composed, analytical, and decisive during live productions. Demonstrated integrity, accountability, reliability, and sound professional judgment. POSITION 2: AV TECHNICIAN Position Overview The AV Technician position is intended for experienced audiovisual, corporate video, broadcast, live-event, or government meeting production professionals capable of supporting sophisticated government meeting, audiovisual, videoconferencing, and broadcast operations. The AV Technician works closely with Production Coordinators, Broadcast Engineers, other AV professionals, management, and government agency clients. This position offers an opportunity for an experienced technical professional to work within a sophisticated government broadcast and audiovisual operation and to develop additional capabilities through hands-on experience and cross-training. Candidates demonstrating more advanced live directing, production leadership, client management, and senior-level experience may be considered for the Production Coordinator position. Primary Responsibilities Setting up, operating, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting professional audiovisual equipment and systems. Supporting government meetings, presentations, videoconferences, public meetings, and live broadcast productions. Operating professional cameras and related video production equipment. Supporting microphones, professional audio systems, presentation systems, displays, computers, videoconferencing systems, and related meeting-room technology. Supporting Zoom and other remote meeting technologies. Assisting Production Coordinators during live government broadcasts. Supporting video switching, camera operation, audio, graphics, presentation playback, streaming, recording, and related production workflows. Preparing meeting rooms and production systems before scheduled events. Performing required pre-event equipment and system checks. Monitoring audiovisual and production systems throughout meetings. Responding quickly and professionally to technical problems. Supporting live streaming, recording, and archiving. Supporting workflows associated with live spoken-language interpretation and translation. Supporting multilingual live-captioning workflows. Supporting production and delivery of verbatim meeting transcripts. Supporting post-production and quality-control activities. Following established operating procedures, checklists, documentation requirements, and quality-control standards. Participating in incident identification, documentation, escalation, and follow-up. Maintaining organized and professional production and AV environments. Communicating professionally with government agency representatives and fellow members of the NTT team. Participating in ongoing technical training and cross-training. Preferred Qualifications A college degree in television broadcasting, television production, communications, media production, audiovisual technology, or a related discipline is preferred. Two to six years of relevant professional experience demonstrating progressively increasing responsibility is preferred. Relevant experience may have been gained in corporate AV, corporate television, local television broadcasting, broadcast television, live-event production, government or municipal broadcasting, professional meeting and conference environments, streaming and webcast production, institutional media, or another comparable technical production environment. Previous government meeting experience is desirable but is not required. Candidates should have demonstrated hands-on experience with professional broadcast, video, audio, presentation, videoconferencing, streaming, or related AV technologies. Professionals whose experience comes from another field but who possess transferable technical, live-production, troubleshooting, and client-service skills are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with multilingual captioning, spoken-language interpretation and translation, broadcast archiving, and meeting transcript workflows. Experience with incident management and technical troubleshooting. Experience training, mentoring, or coaching others is desirable. Strong attention to detail. Strong technical troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to learn and consistently follow detailed operating procedures. Ability to remain calm and effective when technical problems occur during live events. Ability to communicate professionally with clients and coworkers. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, accountability, and integrity. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & ADVANCEMENT NTT encourages professional development and cross-training. An AV Technician who develops and demonstrates the necessary technical proficiency, live directing capability, production judgment, leadership skills, and client-facing experience may have opportunities to assume higher-level production responsibilities, including consideration for a Production Coordinator position.
