You'll be part of a tight crew installing 1kW–30kW solar systems on residential homes across Houston — racking, DC and AC equipment, commissioning, testing, all of it. No two rooftops are the same, and every system you bring online is one more family taking control of their energy future.Competitive pay with performance bonuses on top.What You'll DoAttend daily safety meetings before any work is performed on-site — safety is non-negotiable.Install racking systems per manufacturer specs and Freedom Solar plans across a variety of residential roof types.Install DC and AC equipment per plans and local codes.Commission and test PV systems safely, including voltage testing from 10V–1000VDC and 120V–480VAC.Make field changes as needed and communicate clearly with the Project Manager.Drive company trucks and trailers safely to and from job sites.Support the crew lead and Regional Operations Manager with other duties as assigned.What You BringResidential solar installation experience (required)Valid driver's license and clean MVR — required to drive company vehiclesOSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferredApprentice Electrical License preferredElectrical experience strongly recommendedKnowledge of local electrical codes and residential PV design and componentsAbility to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructionsBackground in construction trades — roofing, carpentry, or metal framing is a plusThe Physical SideComfortable on rooftops, ladders, and at heights — every dayAble to lift 50–75+ lbs routinely throughout the dayGood with bending, stretching, squatting, and sustained physical effortUnbothered by Texas heat (100°F+), cold snaps, or wet conditions — you work in all of itWhat's In It For YouMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance100% Company-Sponsored Short-Term Disability401(k) Employer MatchingWeekly Pay Dates3 Weeks PTO + 3 Sick Days12 Paid Holidays + 1 Floating HolidayUpward mobility opportunitiesOne of our favorite core values is Give a Damn — and that's exactly what we're looking for.
